Michael Hines was born in 1984 in Holland, and grew up in Malaysia, Texas, Scotland and Cheltenham.
He attended University in Manchester to study Politics, Philosophy and Economics, and now divides his time between Paris and London, where he works in advertising.
When not reading or writing, Michael can be found obsessively memorizing the lyrics to indie records and raising his blood pressure by watching England play rugby.
Stealing Focus is his second novel.
